• 2 pears
• Juice of one lemon
• 20 g butter
• 3 tablespoons sugar
• 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
• 2 sprigs of mint

Barbecued Pears with Poppy Seed Sugar


1. Cut the pears in half, scoop out the core with a spoon and drizzle with lemon juice.

2. Place the unpeeled pear halves on the hot barbecue for 5 minutes. Then turn and cook for another 5 minutes.

3. Remove the pears from the barbecue and place a scraping of butter in the hollow where the core was scooped out.

4. Mix the sugar and poppy seeds and sprinkle over the pears. Garnish with mint and serve.
